Event Recap: InStream Expo in Buffalo

2019 BUFFALO EXPO RECAP

On September 18, we held our 2019 Expo at Buffalo’s latest premier waterfront, Buffalo RiverWorks, where we gathered with professionals across industries and presented a series of profound and innovative topics surrounding workflow efficiency and productivity.

John Mancini, President of Content Result and past President of AIIM, kickstarted the presentations by delivering “Getting Ahead of the Automation Curve” which was highly informative and significant coming from an industry expert. We were honored to have had him as one this year’s keynote speakers.

Chad Mattingly, National Director of Business Development of InStream, and Dennis Kempner, former President and Owner of Biel’s Information Technology Systems and current Executive Vice President of Business Development in the Northeast Region for InStream, teamed up for “Transformation of Biel’s. Biel’s 2.0. Who Are We Now and What is Our Current Focus?”, which provided a roadmap of the rich history of Biel’s as well as advancements to anticipate as the company continues to move forward under the InStream umbrella.

Caleb Campbell, 1-on-1 coach, public speaker and digital marketer, was a memorable keynote speaker with his inspirational talk “What Nobody Has Told You About Success”. His life story as a West Point grad, ex-NFL athlete and former Army officer was motivational and he got the crowd thinking about what was holding them back in their lives. He left saying the mantra: “Quit Tomorrow”.

“The Robots are Coming! How our Robotic Process Automation Can Transform your Business” was a presentation that made everyone bob to the melody of “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” by The Beach Boys as they imagined a world where their repetitive business tasks could be automated, allowing them to save time and increase productivity. When it came to keeping the audience awake, it was “Mission Complete!,” according to Chad Mattingly.

During Kelley Hartman’s talk “How InStream Can Offer Project Management as a Service,” Hartman discussed InStream’s department of PMP certified Project Managers, and how they can work with businesses to help them get their projects off the ground. During this presentation, a question arose from the audience that prompted the National Director of Project Management to assure attendees, “There is no project too big!”.

A highlight of the event was the valuable networking with the various vendors and members of the InStream team.

Following the event, we invited customers and vendors out with us to enjoy a wonderful sunset cruise on the Buffalo River aboard the Grandy Lady ship. We couldn’t have asked for better company or weather- and we should add the food was amazing, too!
