Morning Rituals to Get You Ready for a Productive Day

Waking up in the morning can be hard.  But hitting snooze and lying in bed for too long can slow you down for the whole day.  A good morning can set you up for a productive, eventful day.  Starting your morning off right will change your attitude and productivity during that day, allowing you to finish the day and feel accomplished that night.  Try these tips to make your morning more productive and start on the right foot.

Wake up a few minutes earlier.

Waking up a little earlier every morning is extremely beneficial.  It eliminates the stress of rushing to get ready and the drive to work.   You will be able to drink a cup of coffee on your couch instead of worrying about spilling it in the car as you rush to work. Give yourself time to get ready for the day and remain calm while going into work.

Stretch it out.

Working out and stretching in the morning is a great way to start off the day.  Getting your body moving helps your blood flow in your brain and muscles.  This will help you concentrate and feel more awake.  The adrenaline will also help you stay focused throughout the day.   Just 15 minutes of stretching will benefit you.

Eat a healthy breakfast.

If you get up earlier, you will have time to make yourself an egg white omelet with vegetables, oatmeal, or a smoothie, instead of going through a fast food drive-thru or grabbing a Pop-Tart (even though they are delicious).  This will help keep your body fueled until lunch time without your stomach growling.  A good breakfast will speed up your metabolism, as well as lowering your cholesterol.  Eating a healthy breakfast will keep you focused at work on the tasks that need to be done.

Make a plan.

Before leaving your house for the day, it is a good idea to plan your day out. Not only should this include what you want to do at work, but also what you want to do after work.  If you want to go to the gym, add that to the list.  Having an idea of things you want to accomplish will motivate you to be more productive.
